Lake Fayetteville Park
A
popular leisure spot - this is how I describe the Lake Fayetteville Park. It
provides a range of outdoor activities to enjoy. Then, the lake itself offers
chances for variety of kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing. The adjacent
parkland has playgrounds, picnic spaces, and bike paths. Then, it's nice to be
walking and riding on the park's paved path surrounding the lake, offering a
picturesque path. The park also offers community celebrations and fishing
contests, among other activities to enjoy all year long. Families and outdoor
lovers especially love the park because of its many leisure activities and
gorgeous lakefront location.
Search for New Women's Basketball Head Coach
Arkansas is launching the search for a new head coach for the University of Arkansas women's basketball program for the first time in nine seasons. Mike Neighbors, who has 148-114 in eight seasons, stepped down on Tuesday. The Greenwood native's team finished 10-22 overall and 3-13 in SEC action this season, the worst marks during a tenure that saw six postseason berths but only two NCAA Tournament ones. Arkansas Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek expressed his appreciation for Neighbors and his contributions to the university and the program. The NCAA transfer portal opens on March 25, making it optimal to have a new head coach in place by then. A home run hire would likely be former Arkansas assistant and current Texas head coach Vic Schaefer, who was recently the SEC's Coach of the Year.
